I'm a member there. It is great.. The best place you can be a member of.
The staff are not responsive unless they think they can sell you personal trainer services. It was better when it was across the street and owned by Bally's.
We're looking for a new gym. Just tired of the filth and the lousy staff.
Been a 24hr fitness customer for several years and decided to keep with 24hr when I moved from San Diego to NJ. However, I have decided that a place of business that does not value its customers is not a place to spend your money with so many gym choices in the area. It's definitely not what I've experienced at other 24hrs fitness on the west coast. The place always lock the bathroom upstairs so you can't use it in the evenings because the staff is to lazy to clean and maintain for customers. The late night staff is...lets say...they are not overly steller and the self proclaimed "manager" is unprofessional with smart-alecky attitude. It's basically run by a bunch of highschool kids and that's what you will get for customers services...that is if you like that type of service. The bathroom and showers in the locker room are usually poorly kept and a bit on the nasty side. The pool has a weird odor and the Jacuzzi is way too crowded and they use A lot of chemicals. The equipment is average and limited. When there are tons of choices I HIGHLY recommend looking at the gym reviews in the area and doing some shopping around....best of luck
The women's showers are disgusting. There's hair everywhere. The handicapped shower is frequently without a shower curtain. If you're handicapped don't have the same expectation of privacy when you shower.
There used to be plastic bags for wet swim suits. They say that you can ask for one at the desk. Don't bother. They are always out.
The managerial service here is very bad, and doesn’t acknowledge their customer issues in a professional manner. Unclean and overcrowded pool area too. Honestly I’d save your money and go to another establishment/gym that provides better service and equipment.
The pool is cloudy. They used to keep it at a comfortable temperature but now it's cold. The lifeguards are inattentive. They are busy playing on their phones. People leave their flipflops right in front of the steps causing a tripping hazard and they don't say anything.
It truly blows my mind how ignorant the staff is. I moved from out of state...wanting to find a new gym. However i couldnt test the gym because i was out of state and had yet to switch my drivers license. Long story short (Paramus, the best one so far) allowed me a guest pass. I get off work late today wanting to go to the gym at 1030 an boom wayne wont let me in because they have no sales team there. No worries, ill never spend money here...Ill never join
It's not a very clean gym. The capacity limit on the hot tub isn't enforced by the lifeguards so there's frequently horrid gray slime and excess bubbles. You come out feeling slimy. It was 104 and now it's around 101and the you can really feel the difference. The hot tub is much too small for a gym of this size.
