Almost everything is overpriced and the sales staff vacillate between ignorance & indifference when it comes to providing answers to questions or friendly & knowledgeable service. Although I eventually bought a table, the process was torturous. I won't return to this store.
Debbie is the most annoying sales rep I've ever encountered in my life. From the second I walked into the store she was overbearring. I went in to Macy's to look for a sofa and I couldn't sit on ONE single sofa without hearing her terrible sales pitch. I had to tell her to back off and even after she was still following me around the store like a stalker. Everytime I turned around bam she was there. I even tried to take pics of the sofa tags so I could read the reviews online and she kept blocking my way!! I cannot stand pushy desperate sales people and for this reason I will not be making any purchases here.
We bought a leather sectional from Macys in Wayne NJ and dealt with the salesman Pat, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was honest, knowledgeable about the merchandise and so friendly. Macys selection was terrific too compared to other places we’d been. We plan to go back to shop for a mattress very soon and I sure hope he’s still there because I trust him. The leather sectional he recommended has held up well and we couldn’t be happier. Trust me, that is extremely hard to find these days because many other stores are passing off fake bonded leather that peals within a few years, which is exactly what happened to our previous sofa from an expensive private store that refused to stand behind their merchandise before shopping here. We only had a minor issue with one of the electric mechanisms about a year after we had the Macys sectional, and their customer Service was great about that. They sent someone to our house to replace the part.. no problem. Awesome!!! Wish all companies and salespeople could be that good! And I am very picky!
Horrible experience, while this store does have a great selection. Sales team and customer service are absolutely ridiculous I was misinformed by not one but 2 sales people and dont plan on getting a direct response by "customer service" you will be on the phone trying to get a response for a simple question such as return policy !for hours . I suggest macys hosts a hiring event for individuals younger in age while i was brought up to respect all elderly. As someone who has worked in sales for years i know it is a stressful work enviornment in my opinion not a suitable enviornment for individuals of such age. Would be a great place to shop if some adjustments were made.
Big showroom and nice staff. Found what we were looking for but even on sale it was not cheap. We are pleased with our purchase and it is quality furniture.
