My childs pediatric had me close to a nervous breakdown, first sent me to a Cardiologist for my 10 day old baby then to a Cranial specialist. Every specialist she sent me to said my baby was fine. I was scheduled once a month. I changed doctors and even with my second pregnancy, with twins, the new pediatrician did not request to see my children every month. They love to milk the insurance and collect on referrals.
I will recommend for new parents they are very helpful they open for emergency on Saturday if u have any questions they will answer you within a few minutes
hummmmm too! My 19 months old daughter got sick and we needed to bring her to a new pediatrician because we recently move to the area. The personnel from her daycare advised us to go there and we did... Well, the doctor who met my wife was rude, condescending and helpless...For instance, who says that your 19 months old kid looks like a healthy 9 months on a first visit? Anyway after the visit my wife was so upset that she had to call our regular Pediatrician to review what that doctor said...and prescribed to our little one and guess what? They prescribed a highly chemical antibiotic that has a lot of side effects and not recommended really for toddlers....shame on them! Finally, we decided for obvious reason that we will never go back there, and today I receive a $25 bill for an appointment missed that we did not even scheduled.... I hope my review is worth my $25! Just don’t go there, you’ll do yourself a favor for you and your loved ones.
overall: they like to do it their way, there are no compromises and baby gets to be a guinea pig.... not recommended...for lots of reasons
i was unfortunate enough to have had delivered my baby at st.joseph..in paterson.. there i met dr.scofield during regular rounds. and i liked her.. so when i decided to continue going to take my baby to her office... due to scheduling conflicts, we met with the other doctors there as well.. i hated the fact that the my baby was always on display for them to teach from i felt that they did'nt really see the needs of my child and it caused us a lot of addition money and lots of tears. it was til our 5th month visit we saw doctor scofield again and she informed us issues with our child... clearly the other doctors should have noticed as well. dr.scofield was a bit surprised when i told her no one ever said anything about it.... she was the only one there i felt was sincere and let me hold my baby during exams etc... the other doctors just laid down the law... and said no... please put the baby on the table.. even the nurses... only one of the nurses there were kind enough and let me hold the baby during certain procedures.. and he didn't cry.. unlike the other doctors and nurses... who had him screaming
i knew something always didn't feel right.. but being a first time mom and so tired... i didn't know any better... and now that i've gone to other offices... i know the difference.... and so does the baby.
